- 200 g plain tea biscuits (Marie or digestive)
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup fresh cream
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ¼ cup melted butter
- ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
- Chopped nuts or chocolate chips (Optional)
Place the biscuits in a sturdy bowl. Using the end of a rolling pin or your hands, break them into small, bite-sized pieces (not fine crumbs). Set these aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, cream, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth and fully combined.
Add the crushed biscuits to the wet mixture. Fold gently with a spatula until all pieces are evenly coated.
Pour the mixture into a lined or greated dish. Press down firmly and smooth the top into an even layer.
Refrigerate, covered, for 3–4 hours or until completely firm and sliceable.
Once set, slice into portions and serve chilled.
